The Magic of Makeup

look how makeup work and an ordinary face become so beautiful and glamrous

Jennifer Lopez
She’s a diva on the red carpet and wherever she shows up, everyone notices. But she needs to thank her stylist, because without any makeup, she looks extremely pale and quite different from the artist so many girls want to imitate and boys wanna meet

Adriana Lima
Supermodel, work your thing! Proof once more that even someone who’s supposed to be one of the prettiest ladies in the world looks super ordinary without an inch of makeup.
Jennifer Garner
Maybe she was in a hurry and that’s why she looks so pale. Jen, if you are going out like that, please, at least wear dark sunglasses to cover those eyebags! Blush is probably one of her favorite cosmetics

Kim Kardashian
It was hard to recognize Kim. Without the eyelashes and lipstick, her sensuality is completely lost.
Miley Cyrus
All sweaty and making funny faces, it’s hard to tell who she is. Without make up, Miley doesn’t seem to be that pretty, right

Vanessa Hudgens
She definitely has a pretty face, but her cheeks look slimmer when she uses blush. And that sexy tan… it doesn’t exist at all.

best insider beauty secrets

Imagine what you would do if you knew miracle working beauty secrets. And if you had the self confidence that comes with being beautiful

Beauty Secret 1
Unchap and beautify your lips with this technique.
For soft, beautifully kissable lips, you need the following: a washcloth (I’m not kidding either), warm water, and your favorite brand of lip balm.First you apply a coat of lip balm. Then wet one corner of the washcloth, put the warm wet corner of the washcloth between your lips, press them together and hold for 5 seconds. Then gently massage any remaining lip balm from lips with the wet corner of the washcloth, and dry lips with a corner that’s dry.Apply lip balm again to keep your lips chap free. You may also apply lipstick or lip gloss on over the layer of lip balm.
I learned this was the best way to keep lips from chapping, after going through too many winters with dried, and chapped lips.

Beauty Secret 2
Clear your acne, and get beautiful skin.
For clear glowing skin, a little home remedy does wonders for my complexion, as it should with yours too.
Steam your face for 20 minutes every night after washing it, then every other night after steaming your face, massage a half teaspoon castor oil over face.Leave it on at night while you sleep and wash off immediately upon waking.Steam face for twenty more minutes in the morning after washing. When you finish steaming your face splash your face with cool water and dry it.If your skin starts to show any signs of a pimple forming. Take one night off from steaming and applying castor oil and apply Benzoyl Peroxide over face.Take the next night off also from the steaming, castor oil, and benzoyl peroxide. Continue facial regimen with steaming and castor oil the following night. This beauty secret will moisturize your face at the same time it will help clear up acne and pimples. But only if you work at it consistently.

Beauty Secret 3
Good taste in clothes.
When shopping for clothes try to stay away from really big prints, or weird mixes of colors (eg. green, pink and blue flowers combined on a white background, for instance).Clothes like these just scream "I’m color blind!" And if you in fact, actually are color blind, always shop with a friend who isn’t and has good taste in clothes.Buy basic colors. Solid reds, pinks, blues, whites, and blacks. Or things with small tasteful prints and designs. Then mix and match each basic color with a corresponding one (blue goes well with white, pink, and sometimes with red, and different shades of the same color almost always go well together).

Beauty Secret 4
Whiten and brighten your smile.
For this little beauty secret you use two household items that
are rock bottom cheap to buy; Baking Soda, and Peroxide.

Yep, thats how simple it is.

You take the baking soda and peroxide and you make a thick
paste out of them. You shouldn’t need more than a tablespoon of the paste. Apply the paste to teeth, and leave on for 5 to 10 minutes every morning and night.

The most effective way to do this, and brighten your smile, is
by brushing your teeth with the paste. Baking soda and peroxide will not only whiten your teeth but clean them too, if you use them in place of toothpaste. Then just sit back and watch the results!
Your smile will become visibly whiter, and to boot you’ll save a bundle on toothpaste, and teeth whiteners.

Put these beauty secrets to use, and start seeing the benefits today.

Hair Removal Tips

Hair removal can be broadly split into two different categories - those treatments you can do at home and those that require professional help. Many people use both, for example waxing their arms themselves but using an aesthetician to fix their bikini line. Treatments can also range from modern, like laser hair removal, to traditional, like threading.

Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is actually still a relatively young procedure, so the data are limited as to how long the removal lasts. But many people have reported wonderful results. As a guide, expect the removal to last at least a few months. Beyond that, it really depends on your body, what type of hair you have and other factors. Repeat visits may be necessary.

Although many different types of lasers and cooling systems are used now, the basic principle of laser hair removal remains the same. The laser emits a soft beam of light that goes through your skin and reaches the hair follicle. This beam quickly heats up and disables the follicle. The patient may feel some pain as this heat is transferred, but most laser hair removal teams use a cooling device to increase patient comfort during the procedure.

One thing to consider is that blonde or redhead individuals tend to have less success than dark-haired people. Laser hair removal can be very effective but its also more expensive than home techniques like waxing - about $200 for your legs for example. However, factor in the benefit of only having to do it twice a year and it starts to look very appealing!

Waxing
The technique that we all know and love (or maybe not!). Waxing has been used for centuries and is just as effective today as it has always been.

Pretty much everyone is familiar with waxing already, but there are a couple of pointers that are very important to remember. When pulling the strip of cloth away, make sure to pull against the direction of hair growth. This makes it easier and less painful to pull out the hair.

When pulling off the strip, be sure to pull parallel to the skin, rather than away from it. Again, this will make the process much less unpleasant. When you are done with the waxing, a small amount of olive oil will remove the excess wax as well as anything.

Waxing is very easy to do at home and is a good solution in that it reduces regrowth. Many people find that the hair grows back thinner and lighter in color. Compared to laser hair removal though, it has to be a much more frequent practice.

Threading
A popular method in Egypt and originating in Turkey, threading involves pulling out stray hairs using twists of cotton thread. It can be hard to find a practitioner sometimes outside of the large cities, but it is less painful that plucking and continues to be a popular treatment for many young European and Middle Eastern women.

The 'threader' creates a loop by holding the thread between her left hand, her right hand and her teeth. She then uses the loop to capture the stray hairs and pluck them out. It is inexpensive, fast and neat, but can sometimes lead to some temporary reddening of the skin

Electrolysis
Electrolysis is really the only alternative to laser hair removal when it comes to permanent solutions. It has actually been around for much longer, having been used safely for over 100 years, but requires considerable skill (and money) to do properly.

The electrolysis procedure involved poking a tiny electrode into each individul hair follicle, one at a time. A small electric shock is then delivered, which immediately kills the follicle. The skill comes in applying the needle correctly, which is why you should use only certified professionals.

Know Your Pearls

There is absolutely something magical about pearls, and that's what makes them truly exquisite and distinctive. These beloved pearls find use in several types of jewelry pieces such as pendants, rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Also pearls can be seen embellished on designer wear clothing.

Anyways, here's a little info on the different types of pearls that are available in the market, elaborated particularly to assist you as a buying guide.

Natural Pearls

As the name is suggestive, these pearls are completely natural and have not been altered by any procedure. These are mostly irregular in shape, and it's a rare to find one which is perfectly shaped. And obviously, they're much costlier when you compare them with the cultured ones.

Cultured pearls

These pearls are especially cultured to obtain the right size and the right shape. There are large farms where these pearls are cultured, and the process involves pushing in some irritant into the mollusk so as to the effect the desired results.

Freshwater pearls

Again the name here is quite suggestive that these pearls are obtained from fresh water bodies such as rivers and lakes. These can be both natural ones picked up from the sea bed, or cultured ones grown in specially designed farms, where the water is made to flow constantly. The shape and texture isn't as beautiful as those of salt water pearls, and that's the reason they are more affordably priced.

Saltwater Pearls

These pearls are mostly natural and are produced by the mollusk in salt water bodies such as the seas and oceans. These can also be cultured, but since the process is more intricate, even the cultured seawater pearls sell for real high price. But overall, salt water pearls are the best and the most elegant of all pearls types.

Imitation pearls

This is a budget option for those who cannot afford real Pearls, as these artificial pearls made from plastic or such other material are fairly cheap and can be easily bought at most costume jewelry stores.

Little tricks for prettier lips

If your lips are too thin and you wish they looked bigger, there is something you can do about it.

This is what you need to do in order to make your lips appear fuller:
Outline your lips with a light lip liner in a color that suits your skin tone.

Draw right on the top of your lips' natural line, don't go outside of it (this way you'll avoid the funny clown look). When you're done with the lip lining, it's time to apply lip color and/or high shine lip gloss.

You can use high shine lip color instead of lip gloss. To enhance the 3D effect of the lip gloss/ lip color, you can try to line your bottom lip with a lip liner that is 2-3 shades darker than the lip color. In general, darker lip liner creates that pouty look, so be careful with it.

General Foot Care Tips

For All Feet
Wash your feet daily. Rinse off all soap and dry thoroughly, especially between toes.
Trim nails straight across, and not too short. Don't cut out or dig at corners.
Do not trim, shave, or use over-the-counter medicines to dissolve corns or calluses
Wear clean socks or stockings, changed daily. Don't wear any that are too short or too tight.

Some people's feet sweat more than others, and are more prone to athlete's foot. These tips may help:

Wear shoes made of leather or canvas - not synthetics. Sandals are good.
Switch shoes from day to day.
Use foot powder.
See your doctor if severe problems persist

How You Walk

Your heel swings from side to side as your foot moves. When the heel swings correctly, your foot can flatten and regain its arch as you walk. But if your heel swings too much, your foot may flatten more than it should. Over time, such excess movement may cause foot problems.

When the heel hits the ground, its outer edge touches first. Soft tissues (muscles, tendons and ligaments) relax. Your foot is able to flatten, adapt to uneven surfaces, and absorb the shock of touchdown.
During midstance, your heel is below the anklebone, and the front and back of your foot are aligned. Your foot easily bears your weight.
As the heel lifts, it swings slightly to the inside. Muscles, tendons, and ligaments tighten. Your foot regains its arch, allowing your toes to push your weight off the ground.

Too Much Movement Causes Strain!

When your foot flattens too much (overpronation), some bones are forced to support too much weight. The muscles pull harder on these areas, making it more difficult for tendons and ligaments to hold bones and joints in place. Over time, you may develop swelling or pain on the bottom of your foot or near the heel. Or a bony bump (bunion) may form at your toe joint.

When your foot flattens too much, the ankle and heel do not align during midstance. The foot strains under your body's weight

history of hena

History of Mehndi

For millions of people in Pakistan and Middle East, mehendi is the preferred way of dyeing hair. It makes the color of the hair reddish and also conditions them. A natural dyer, it never harms the hair like synthetic dyes. It helps in getting hair getting rid of dandruff, making them easier to manage and strengthen them.

Adding More Colors
Mehendi is naturally red. Addition of walnut plant dye or coffee can make it brown. You can ad chamomile, saffron, or senna to dye your hair blonde. Pure mehendi helps one gain a natural red color. Those who already have red hair will have a boost of color. Brunettes will get an auburn color, thanks to mehendi, but those with a full head of grey hair will get orange hair.

How Much to Buy
You need to buy 100 grams of mehendi if you have short hair, 200 grams for collar length hair, 300 grams for shoulder hair, and 500 grams for waist length hair. Mehendi is available in prepared form or in a powder which comes with directions on how to prepare.

Take Assistance
Applying mehendi yourselves could be messy. So you better take someone's assistance. Put a towel on your shoulders. Ask your aid to wear plastic gloves. It will keep her clean.

After Applying
Cover your hair in saran wrap or a shower cap. Wait for a few hours. Then wash your hair with cold water and a good conditioner. This will make your hair glow.

Keep Away From Synthetic Products
When you are through with mehendi, you must avoid any chemical processing and products, such as chemically straightening them or perming or putting dye in your hair. This could damage the hair.

Tips
• Avoid wearing light colored clothes while applying mehendi, as it could spoil your clothes.
• Don't using mehendi on perm hair because mehendi coating does not allow perm to work well on hair.
• Never use synthetic products on your hair for it could be harmful for them.
Mehendi in Tradition

In Pakistan, mehendi is a way for a bride and groom to get ready for the marriage. Traditions underlie the use of Mehandi, including wedding games and legends. A dark mehandi design for both bride and groom signifies that the two will have a strong relationship. Now Pakistani marriage is possible sans mehendi. Fashion-centric ladies even wear dresses to match their mehendi. Mehendi is considered the symbol of fertility and prosperity.

summer hair styles

one takes on the task of describing every haircut, hairstyle and hair colour trend that take place in a year, one would not be able to do that in one space of an article. It would be difficult to cover in detail the whole thing without leaving out minor details which are equally important. Because there are many things that go into making a hair style the way it is. From the styles that will be to the lengths of the hair and all sorts of cuts including the buns and rolls, to bobs and everything else that one can possibly think of. The hair style for any year is unpredictable.

Here are some of the hair styles that you can try for yourself especially with the summer time in its full swing.
There is Ever-living bob, which seems to be always in whatever be the season and what ever be the year. It has evolved over the years to a strong graphic outlines combining with the curves and sharp lines. It depends on you whether you want an asymmetry or you can raise a side longer than the other. You can have it according to your own sense of style.
Another best option is to go for long hair that even does not have to take too long. Women of today are busy in multi-tasking and they do not have a lot of time to maintain their hairstyle every now and then. Because when you make a hairstyle you need to work on it preparing for sometimes hours to get it right. It is better to have straight layers for convenience. You can put accessories that would suit to make them look different every time. You can even have strands of different ranging hair dyes and choose the one that you would like.
There are many other hair styles like the fringe with a bang and braids in different styles, and of course the classic hot buns with up-dos. You can try any one of these and form various styles of your own liking and have a good summer time with your hair

How to Perform Makeup On Oily Skin?

The problem with applying makeup on oily skin is that the oil collects on the skin and gives it a shiny coating. The makeup may also look patchy and may not last too long.If you have oily skin, wear as little makeup as possible. If you try to cake on the makeup, it will look blotchy and patchy as the day wears on and the viscous oil changes the appearance of your foundation.Following tips help you look and feel better:Have a rigid and good skincare routine. Cleanse, moisturize and tone as a ritual. Use a good cleanser that opens up all your oil and grime clogged pores. Do not overcleanse to get rid of your oil since the skin will simply produce more. If you scrub too much, then also the skin is urged to produce more oil. Even oily skin needs hydrating moisturizer. However, if the moisturizer is inducing worse oily conditions, look for silicon based primers that increase the wearing properties of foundations and prevent its discoloration as well. Some matte foundations are designed to last long too. You can also touch up with blotting powder to reduce the shine. You can also use concealers to reduce the amount of foundation you need for coverage. Do not apply the concealer instead of foundation. Use it judiciously to cover the areas that need covering. Blend, apply foundation and then set the base with an oil absorbing powder.Use one shade lighter foundation to cover up the darkening caused by the oil.Use blotting paper and touchup during the day to pick up the excess oil.Stay away from shiny and shimmery makeup to play down the shiny effect of the oil. You could use shimmer on the lips to distract from other features. Keep cheek color soft and natural.Other Tips:Ensure that your diet is healthy and check with a dietician that you are consuming a diet that helps control your condition.Consult a physician for your skin condition. Some conditions are treatable and you might be the lucky one.Drink lots of water, exercise and use makeup to highlight your best features.Use cosmetics specifically designed for oily skin.Sometimes, using an antiseptic cream before applying makeup keeps the sebaceous secretions under control.Use powder blush rather than cream blush.Use plenty of loose powder to keep the face looking fresh rather than oil caked.Wash your face with cold water several times a day.Apply astringent on clean face, wait for a few minutes and then apply makeup. Astringent helps close pores.A blend of rose water and ice water used on the face 2-3 times a day also helps control oiliness.
